Class Descriptions
PRESCHOOL
Parent and Cubs (2 & 3 year olds, Boys and Girls Together)
This is a 45 min parent participation class. Children will learn basic gymnastics progressions. Some examples are jumping, rolling, landing, and hand support.

3 year olds (No parents, Boys and Girls Together)
This is a 45 min class. Children will build on the basic gymnastics progressions taught in the 2 and 3 year olds parent assisted class. Children also learn to interact in a teacher/student setting without Mom or Dad. This class also helps toddlers to build their skills in listening and interaction with other children. Additional gymnastics skill will be introduced.

4 year olds (Boys and Girls Together)
This is a 45 min class. Children will focus on basic gymnastics. Skill focus will be handstands, cartwheels, swinging, pullovers, vaulting, and balance on the beam.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS
Girls Beginner (Ages 5/6 and 6 & Up, Girls only)
This is a 60 min class focusing on basic/beginner gymnastics skills. Skill focus will be on basic strength and flexibility to build a strong foundation for working on skills. This class is recommended for those new to the More Than Gymnastics program.

Girls Beginner-Intermediate (Ages 6 & Up, Girls only)
This is a 60 min class focusing on basic/beginner gymnastics skills. Skill focus will be pullovers, back hip circle, handstands, cartwheels, beam jumps, vaulting. This class is for girls who have been evaluated by an MTG instructor.

Girls Intermediate (Ages 6 & Up, Girls only)
This is a 90 min class focusing on the intermediate gymnastics skills. Skill focus will be round offs, walkovers, back handsprings, handstands and cartwheels, handstand flat fall on vault, back hip circles, intro to squat on and front hip circles, along with more beam complex. Students must have been evaluated by an MTG instructor to be in this class.

Girls Intermediate Advanced (Ages 6 & Up, Girls only)
This is a 90 min class focusing on the intermediate/advanced gymnastics skills. Skill focus will be round offs, back handsprings, walkovers, front hip circles, squat-ons, glide swings, handstands and cartwheels, handstands and bridge kick over on low beam, handstand flat fall on vault. Students must have been evaluated by an MTG instructor to be in this class.

Girls Advanced (Ages 6 & Up, Girls only)
This is a 90 min class focusing on the more advanced gymnastics skills. Skill focus will be round off back handsprings, back tucks, front tucks, walkovers, glide kips, squat on to jump to high bar, handstands and cartwheels on high beam along with back walkovers and back handsprings, front handspring on vault. Students must have been evaluated by an MTG instructor to be in this class.

Adult Gymnastics (Ages 16 & Up, Men and Women)
The adult gymnastics class at MTG is a unique experience that you can’t just get at your local fitness center. This class will focus on strength, flexibility, gymnastics shapes, and range of motion to move you through the gymnastics skills that allow you to channel your inner child. Learn the skills you thought may have passed you by.

TUMBLING
Tumbling (Ages 6 & Up, Boys and Girls combined, 60 min)
Beginner
This class focuses on basic tumbling skills. Skill focus is rolls, handstand, cartwheel, round off, walkovers, and beginning back handsprings.

Intermediate
This class focuses on intermediate gymnastics skills performed on the floor exercise. Skill focus is standing back handsprings, front handsprings, round off back handsprings, and the progressions that go along to get the results of those skills.

Advanced
This class focuses on the advanced skills and therefore a round off back handspring on the spring floor is required to enroll. Skill focus will be double back handsprings, front tucks, bounders, and ariels.

Ninja Zone
Ninjas and Lil Ninjas
In NinjaZone kids learn transferrable core skills by focusing on martial arts, gymnastics, obstacle training, and freestyle movement, while also building character and cultivating discipline. This class has a mandatory uniform that must be worn to participate in class.
** The uniform cost is $29.50 which includes a Ninja T-shirt and Headband. You do not have to order Ninja shorts, but you must wear dark-colored shorts.

High School Class
This is a seasonal class offered in spring, summer, and fall. The class is for gymnasts in high school or going into high school who are interested in being a part of their high school team. This class can be between 3 and 4 hours a week. This class meets 2 times a week when in session.
